Queen Street will remain closed after the Parade, until 8pm and will host a display of vintage vehicles and market stalls. Shops and cafes lining Queen Street will remain open for late night trading.

After the spectacle of the Grand Santa Parade, kids will have the chance to meet Santa in person and take a Santa Selfie! He will be in Alexandra Street for you to take a souvenir photo of your loved ones.

Don’t miss the most hilarious event of the year, with locals of all ages doing a Dash down Berry’s main street wearing their festive best.

Feel like joining in and helping a good cause? Dust off your Santa costume and your running shoes and help raise funds for Berry Community Pre School.

We have online registration this year via Eventbrite.

Entry is $10 per person and is non-refundable (it is for chariteeeee)

There are 3 categories:

• Santa Dash
• Three-legged Dash
• Pram/Wheelchair Dash

All 3 events have prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places and festive attire is a MUST!

Meeting time & place

Assembly/Late registration will be at Apex Park 4:30-4:45pm at the latest.

The individual races will follow each other in quick succession as we have very limited time. We are the first event of the Berry Merry Christmas Parade and will set off as soon as the road is closed.

Following the parade, there are will be kids rides and activities in Alexandra Street which will be closed to traffic until 8pm.

Alexandra Street will also play host to Santa Photos this year.

Even the traffic on the Princes Highway stops for our traditional community Christmas Parade with performers, bands, classic cars, local celebrities, and of course, Santa!

Always a hit with the kids, make sure you get a spot along the Parade route from the Berry Showground along Albany Street, to Queen Street (the Princes Highway), to Prince Alfred Street on the north side of town for all the colour and festive cheer.

The Berry Merry Christmas Charity Trolley Drive will be incorporated into the tail end of the parade. Throughout November, a number of local business and organisations are acting as collection points for the donation of goods for local charities. Stay afterwards to enjoy a variety of musical entertainment and kids’ activities on Alexandra Street, which will remain closed to traffic until 8pm.
